That is because during this time of the year I am either hurt or peaking for nationals. I feel very fortunate to have some bonus time to train for outdoor allowing me to be 100% for whatever race I need to get into. A year ago to be exact March 1, 2008, I broke my sacrum bone. I was very happy with how I performed in both race. I felt that I was in good rhythm throughout the races, except for the xc race downhill part which I slipped too much. The road race was an 18 second PR on my 5k from Providence back in September. Overall, this is great progress in the right direction.
