Indoor Track Racing Schedule

The focus of indoor will be on getting a huge base for outdoor track. However, I will not go without doing a few races to keep the competitive edge alive. I had planned on racing a BU mini meet, unfortunately I got sick and didn't feel the need to risk getting sicker. Doesn't look like I have any indoor eligibility, but this might not necessaroly be a bad thing. I will have a good 3-month period to get stronger and get as fit as possible for outdoor track - where it counts the most anyway. My best races have always come from months of preparation, physically and mentally and I don't mind doing that again. Also, I hope to make my first trip to Outdoor NCAA's (yes, I will be eligible for outdoor track ). To my loyal followers who might be planning on attending some of my indoor track races, the schedule is listed below. Week 35: Jan 10: Dartmouth Relays 3k in Hanover, NH Week 38: Jan 30: Terrier Classic 5k in Boston,MA Week 40: Feb 13: Valentine 3k in Boston,MA This sched

My progression this week was much beter than last week. This week's last 3 miles were in 15:06 compared to last week's 15:30. My heartrate even dropped 3bpm as well, which is a very good sign. I am getting kind of sick with a cold, hopefully I can recover soon and be able to run a good 3k next week. If not, I will not race until I am fu

Around this last year, I made huge progress in my fitness and I am hoping to get the same accomplished this time again. I might be doing a 3k on Dec 26th BU mini meet when I confirm this with Coach G. If yes, expect me to be going for a very fast time, low 8min hopefully. For now, just have to keep plugging in the miles and hitting the roads.

I didn't expect to run this fast so early considering this being my 3rd week back to training after taking some time off after cross country. I am just getting back to my peak mileage and have not done any track workouts, progressions or tempos. The idea to run a 5k so early with tired legs might not
