Another transition week

Nothing new this week. Just another week of transitioning from XT to running. I wish I did more XT, but it was a tough week with finals, me moving out, and the pool being closed on most days. I have decided to stay in Lowell for the summer to train with a bunch of teammates. I am very excited about that as I get to use a lot of resources around. I hope next week I can still be feeling healthy. I am feeling a little sore around the hip area after the run - not during though - not sure why. Could be related to just getting back to running or not being fully healthy. Keep the fingers crossed. Week 2: Transition from XT to running 2 hours XT, 42 miles running, pool closed Thu-Sun Monday: 30-Min Bike, 30-Min Aqcua jog, 6 mile t-mill run , 48min, drills Tuesday: 30-Min Acqua jog, 6mile t-mill run,45min, drills Wednesday: 5ile t-mill run, 37min, drills Thursday : 6 mile run on t-mill, 45 min, drills Friday: 6 mile run along river, 41min, drills Saturday: 7 mile run woods loop, 47min, drills

First run back

OK, that title might be misleading, but I did do some running this week. After 6 weeks completely off, Coach G and I decided I'd start adding some slow running to transition from cross training to running, all done on the treadmill. The plan is to keep doing some sort of xt on top of the running until I am feeling confortably enough to have a full running schedule. Getting stronger...

Mentally I am at my strongest right now. The will power to do work is there. If I can x-train for 2 hours a day and be patient while doing it, then I can block any mental obstacle that comes my way. This was a great week for me. The combo of Bike, Elliptical and Acqua jog is making me really strong physically as well. It's pretty much rebuilding a brand new me for what is to come in the next 5 months of real training.I got in 13 hours this week, which beats my previous best by one hour. Hangin' in there

Another solid week of cross training. It's getting really difficult mentally to hop on those cardio machines twice a day almost everyday, but I'm just trying my hardest to hang in there and think of its benefits. Looking at the past few big meets, I wish I was feeling good and runnning again. So many guys who I have run with in the past are running some really good times. Makes me want to work even harder to get back. Hopefully in 3-weeks, I should start doing some easy jogging. Here's how my week went: Week 3: 12 hours, core work, form drills Monday AM :30-Min Bike @ 140HR + form drills PM: 90-Min Elliptical + core, 15-Min Acqua Jog Tuesday AM: 45-Min Acqua Jog + form drills PM: 75-Min Bike + core work Wednesday AM: Bike 50-Min + form drills PM: 70-Min Elliptical w/ 5x2min, 5x1min @ 250SPM w/ half rest + core work Thursday AM: 30-Min Acqua Jog PM: 60-Min Elliptical @200SPM + core, drills, 30-Min Acqua Jog Friday AM: 50-Min Bike + form drills PM: 60-Min Elliptical, 6x3mi
