101 miles

This is the first time I've ever done a 100-mile week in the month of March, so that's good news! That is because during this time of the year I am either hurt or peaking for nationals. I feel very fortunate to have some bonus time to train for outdoor allowing me to be 100% for whatever race I need to get into. A year ago to be exact March 1, 2008, I broke my sacrum bone. Doctors said that even after 6 months I would still feel the effects of the injury. Luckily, I was able to have a speedy recovery. I would have been really happy to just get back to the same fitness (14:05 shape) this past winter, but to be able to PR was definately an added bonus. I did not know I would be able to get back to running for UML again. Now that I am finally able to, I am going to enjoy every race, no matter what, this is like a second chance. It's going to be a long season!
