This week I raced the 1500 at Princeton. Last week I said my goal was to run 3:50-53 on an even paced race to sharpen up for the 5k. I ended up running 3:50.76 (after going out very slow in 63sec) which was a PR by over a second. This is very motivating considering not having done anything fast yet. Next week is our home invite and I will probably do a 2mile or 1500 as another sharpening workout for the 5k depending on what Coach G thinks is best. For now, I am going to try to rest, freshen up and mentally get ready for Mt.Sac. I am actually very excited to be racing anyone no matter what heat I get in.
