This week I did my first track workout. Averaged 2:45 for the 1ks, which is 4 seconds faster than I averaged last year at this same time. I was not able to finish the 3k at Dartmouth partly because I had chest problems and terrible race strategies. Running in and out of the cold weather is definitely starting to hit me, but I hope I can keep the sickness away (if any) and be ready for my next race on Jan 30. Kind of a disappointment to not be able to open the year with a good race, but in the end I have to keep looking at the long term plan. I got in a good week of training and I'm sure it will pay off sometime in the future.
